発声法と三人称単数現在の動詞
三人称の動詞に付くSの音も OTHOGRAPHY part4 で紹介したように
有声音と無声音があります。
He reads newspaper every morning. （ z ）有声音
He waits for the bus every after noon. （ s ）無声音
He watches TV every Saturday night. （ iz ）有声音

ラッキーなことに、このSの発音の仕方のルールは
OTHOGRAPHY part4 で述べた名詞のルールと同じです！
Voicing and the Simple Past Form of Regular Verbs
発声法と規則動詞の過去形
過去形のedの音にも同じようなルールがあります。
ただ、単語の最後の音が d と t の場合だけ例外です。
We listened to the radio. （ d ）有声音
They watched TV. （ t ）無声音
I needed a new pen. （ id ）有声音
I wanted a good grade. （ id ）有声音
They watched TV. （ t ）無声音

もし、動詞の現在形の語尾が有声音なら（ d ）と発音します。
もし、動詞の現在形の語尾が無声音なら（ t ）と発音します。
ただし、単語の語尾が（ d ）音（ t ）音で終わっている時は（ id ）
と発音します。
